Salary

All doctorates awarded by AGTRIAN will be employed on contracts. In the case where national rules prohibit employment contracts, the doctorates will be formally employed through another AGTRAIN partner (the co-supervising institution). In cases where the EU contribution does not cover the expenses set by national legislation, co-funding will be assured before the enrolment of the doctorate. Salary levels vary considerably within the consortium, as do living expenses. A salary top-up model is designed for doctorates with mobility between countries with high and low living costs (see table below). The cost model ensures that all doctorates can uphold reasonable living standards for the duration of their study period.
